How Does the Patented SC Regeneration Technology work?
The best way to describe this part is to use an analogy. Think of the S-TViQ circuit as an electronic shock absorber. When a power surge is present the S-TViQ absorbs the excess voltage, this is the patented SC section, like a shock absorber being compressed. Then the S-TViQ slowly, safely releases the surge of energy back into the mains power. The dangerous energy from the surge is diverted back into the power so that whatever it is protecting does not get exposed to any of the high voltage threat. Once all the absorption has finished the circuit is reset within a matter of seconds ready for the next incident, this is the regeneration portion of the circuit.
Traditionally power protection components will absorb spikes or surges but each time they are asked to absorb they reduce their ability to protect until eventually they exhaust their protection and need to be replaced. This is a significant difference to our Patented SC Regeneration Technology as the circuit is able to absorb the surge then release without compromising its ability to protect each time it is asked to defend against a spike or surge incident.
The circuit has been exposed to over 6,600 volts x 100 times in less than an hour and still operating at 100% efficiency and capacity showing no signs of degradation. A standard surge protection board may survive one or two similar exposures before at least being damaged or in the majority of cases completely exhausting its ability to protect.
